Amazon Web Services hosted one of the largest public sector cloud events on the East Coast June 24-26th at The Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington, DC.
Ironmark was given the opportunity to develop the overall concept, design, print and manage the installation of the event displays, digital graphics and print collateral. The project began over five months ago with development of the overall design concept for the international series of AWS events.
In the following months, those concepts were carried across more than 320 individual large format pieces such as signage, registration booths and backdrops, as well as printed materials such as badges and programs, and digital graphics for the Washington DC symposium and events across the globe.
“The challenge of the project lay heavily in working to compliment the architecture of this extraordinary convention center. We needed to come up with creative ways to make a splash on a large scale for a temporary time span.” – Bryan Gunning, Vice President Operations, Ironmark.
The vibrant blues, modern sketched DC skyline and background of binary code captured both the tech-driven AWS brand and the bustle of the busy city outside. In particular, the large entryway and the 25 foot circular graphic that graced the floor of the main ballroom made a statement as attendees visited vendor booths and gathered for the main speakers. The floor graphic was installed in 12 individual panels, pieced together to create the perfect circle.
“Ironmark was a valuable partner on our event team. They delivered stunning design, exceptional printing and the trade show displays and convention graphics were not only functional, but created a bright, technology-driven, Amazon Web Services atmosphere for the symposium. We look forward to future projects with Ironmark.” – David McKennon
