Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation’s Library Project Reveals First Three Libraries

Congratulations to The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, who revealed the first three state-of-the-art libraries of their three-year “Library Project” on Wednesday, September 12, 2012. Supported by 30 businesses, non-profits and government agencies and praised nationally by the American Association of School Libraries, Governor Martin O’Malley and Baltimore City Schools, this project aims to create a total of 12 new libraries and media centers in economically challenged city schools. Thomas Johnson Elementary & Middle School hosted the first Grand Opening of their brightly colored, creative library space filled with books, computers, Nooks and special spaces for children to read with their parents. CPS Gumpert is proud to be a sponsor of the this project and we look forward to our continued partnership with The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation.
